Portocervo Wine&Food Festival 2017 Here I am, ready for the opening event of the summer season on the Costa Smeralda: the Porto Cervo Wine&Food Festival.
A showcase of wine and food produce, that has been attracting for 9 years lovers of good wine, good food and of the wonderful Gallura, dressed up at its best for the occasion.
Following the successful edition of 2016, the Festival will gather together winemakers and food producers in the same venue, thus offering a unique journey through local and national delicacies.
I had the opportunity to taste different kinds of wines, at least within the range of my not-so-deep wine knowledge. I must admit that, beyond the usual bubbly, I was impressed by some local vine varieties, such as the Carignano of the winery Mesa, the Monica of Mora&Memo, whom I express my best wishes on the arrival of their new baby, and Bovale Su Entu, granted the “Best Red Wine” award during the show.
In an increasingly female-led festival, a praise to Ruffino’s Chianti, skillfully presented by Anna, and the usual salute to gorgeous Mrs Bersano, who always stands out for her charming allure every time I meet her.
After tasting so many different wines, a tour among food specialties is due. On display, a well-fed selection of food excellence, if you will excuse the play on words.
Sweet delicacies by Peano, the genuine Sardinian taste of Montelinas and the stylish delicacy of Agroittica caviar merrily celebrated together with my taste buds until late in the evening, when I allowed myself the thrill of the first shopping of the season.
Eccomi pronta per l’evento che apre la stagione in Costa Smeralda. Il Porto Cervo Wine&Food Festival.
Una rassegna enogastronomica che da nove anni rappresenta un appuntamento fisso per gli amanti della cucina, del buon vino e della splendida cornice Gallurese, vestita a festa per questa occasione.
Come lo scorso anno, la formula prevede la partecipazione di cantine e aziende produttrici food nei medesimi spazi, un connubio che accontenta tutti i sensi e permette di gustare il meglio che le realtà locali e nazionali offrono.
Ho avuto la possibilità di degustare diverse etichette, almeno nei limiti della mia coscienza etilica, non spiccatissima. Devo dire che oltre alle classiche bollicine, immancabili a Porto Cervo, diversi vitigni autoctoni mi hanno colpito. Il Carignano della cantina Mesa, il Monica di Mora&Memo, ai quali porgo i migliori auguri per lo splendido bimbo in arrivo e il Bovale di Su Entu, premiato alla manifestazione con il riconosimento “Best Red WIne”.
In un festival sempre più femminile, una nota dovuta al Chianti di Ruffino, magistralmente presentato da Anna e l’immancabile passaggio dalla bellissima signora Bersano, che ogni anno spicca su tutti per quell’elegantissima simpatia che mi regala ad ogni incontro.
E dopo tanti assaggi, un giro tra le offerte del food è più che doveroso. Anche qui la selezione è, perdonate il gioco di parole, nutrita di perle di incredibile prestigio. I dolci dell’azienda Peano, il sapore sardo verace dell’azienda Montelinas e, per finire, la classe delicata del caviale di Agroittica hanno festeggiato con le mie papille gustative fino a tarda sera, momento in cui mi sono concessa la piacevole brezza del primo shopping della stagione.
